sports seats - too narrow at shoulders. fix?

No fix other than to swap for other seats. There have been several guys here at RL looking for a set of sport seats and were paying good $. Probably could become a member and post a FS / FT - regular seats plus cash. My wife finds the sport seats too "confining", so I know what you mean. Me, they fit just right and the added bolstering is great on the track.

MJones - almost all!
What I really want are the adaptive sport seats. Actually.. "seat" - just for me, the driver. Is it possible to just buy one seat and retrofit - are there wiring/plug/mount considerations? Do these ever even show up used?
I found almost the perfect car, but I cant deal with the sport seats. My rib cage is too wide and its painful after 30 minutes or so.
Ps I'm definitely going to donate if I purchase the 911. The site has been a great help/resource so far.

I'm planning on ordering a C2 basic car soon and planned on doing Heated, Manual Sport Seats. I'm a size 44 6' 190 lbs 34 waist 32 inseam, my shoulders are fairly broad but not overly. Do you think the Sport Seats will be too tight on longer trips? Not interested in doing Adaptive Sport Seats.

If I were to purchase and swap the driver's sport seat out for an adaptive sport seat, would there be issues? I asked the dealer if he would swap seats for me and he was not receptive to the idea because the seats are connected to the vin, but if I bought a seat I could always swap it out later before selling the car.
Would a adaptive sport seat bolt right up and attach to the wiring harness that is there for the sport seat? Any idea on cost on a single seat?

I love my sport seats..yes in the beginning they are somewhat tight but after 11k miles and 2 years the seats are quite comfortable. I am also 5'10" 185lbs with a 44" chest and they are tight, but I love them. My wife who is Japanese and only 5'3" and 110lbs fit in them no problem.
