When you get down to it, the seats, pedals, steering wheel interface is going to determine your overall enjoyment of the driving experience. I'm 6'2", 200# and tried all the seating and steering wheel thickness options before settling on the standard (kinda' narrow) wheel and power seats.
I don't drive a lot; 12k miles on an '06 C2S but most of my trips are extended drives through the Rockies rather than high 'G' track days. Hence, a little more comfort traded for maybe a little less lateral support.
When you're spending $100k on a car, it seems rational to be sure you're comfortable spending time in the cockpit.

I echo Mtn Busa and some others: test-sit and if possible test-drive various seats. Wait a few days, test-sit the seats again. Think hard about your size and the seats'.
I almost made a big mistake impulse purchase on an 08 C2 with sport seats that I liked everything else about. Could have made a great deal, too. When passions had cooled and I had time to reflect, I just knew that the only seats that would work for me are the power comfort seats. So I ordered them on an 09.
But I'm 6'5" and 215 lbs, so maybe that should have been obvious? Problem is, when you go through life in a world where most everything is undersized ergonomically, you subconsciously adjust your attitude, and might just deceive yourself into thinking the sport seats work.

I was wondering if there was a reason that so many CPO 911's I see have the regular seats. I didn't think the cost was a factor so I guess that some just find the taller bolsters to be uncomfortable?

I guess its pretty widely known that sport seats make it harder to sell a car. If only they were an inch wider! I wonder if I can get an upholsterer to modify them.. Its probably a pain to take the seat apart to get to the foam, 'eh?

6'6" 235lbs, 38" waist and my sport seats fit me great!!
Done several road trips of 1200-1500 miles and lots of track days as well..... If they didn't fit me, I'd know it by now!!
My one concession is to remove my wallet from my right rear pocket or else I get a sciatic nerve pinch on long road trips, but I get that in any vehicle....

I'm surprised you guys think the sport seats are tight. I'm a thick guy (5'10", 52" jacket) and I fit fine. The only Porsche seats I haven't fit in are the Euro GT3 seats - only a tiny guy (or super skinny) can fit in those.

Just recieved and tried the G-Seat Gel Cushion a very thin, soft seat cushion from Autosport.Makes the sport seats feel perfect. It raises seat just a drop to ease the pressure of the side seat bolsters but still have the support of the back bolsters. Really feels custom and very comfortable. Will let you know on the longer use
Tried this seat cushion a bit longer,.Don;t like it.Prefer the natural feel of the bucket.Feel too removed from the feel of the car.

With in an hour of picking up my car the wife says she has a back ache from the standard heated seats. What a way to take me down a notch. She needs lumbar support and IMO these seats aren't as comfortable as my 968. Now I'm looking for a solution too.
