Default Xenon Lights:

I'm considering purchasing a GT3 RS however I just learned that Xenon Lights are not standard in this particular GT3 is missing the bi-xenon option. Has anyone successfully converted the halogen lights to xenon lights? I know there are many after market options, but not sure how that affects the electrical system, thanks for your help.

I believe you can do an OEM swap for xenons, but you will not be able to get the self-leveling feature that factory-installed xenons come with.

I already looked into the OEM swap, it will not work.

Thanks

Aftermarket is easy and results generally turn out pretty well in cars that have good projectors such as the 997. Just find a quality bulb/ballast set and you should be sitting pretty.

FWIW
The GT3 & RS do not have the self leveling feature. There are no sensors on the chassis.
The lights do wag up and down when illuminated tho.

Be glad it doesn't have Xenons... I've had both 997 OEM halogens and 997 Xenons, and much prefer the halogens. Not that I drove at night much in my GT3 anyway. Lighter, less complex, and for me the halogens illuminated just fine. Try this - get the car and live with the normals for a while - you'll soon forget what you have.
