Default autox and tappet noise

I took my, new to me, 2006 S out to a very fast autox site for some afternoon delight. After a series of back to back laps, I got out of the car and heard an engine sound like hydraulic tappets making noise. I let it idle for a few minutes and the noise went away.
Anyone else have this problem??

Default How fresh is oil? What can happen is with oil with some miles/time...

on it the oil gets overly contaminated with water/unburned fuel. This lowers the oil's viscosity and it depletes the anti-foaming additive in the oil.

Under auto-xing this oil gets foamy. Valve action can suffer at high rpm and at low rpm hydraulic zero lash valve hardware noisy until foamy oil worked out of lifters.

God only knows what the main/rod bearings think of the foamy oil.

Sincerely,

Macster.

Our primary auto-x site is an old airfield so it can be pretty fast. Never had this kind of problem - but I rarely bounce off the rev limiter with the C2S.

Depending on the course I sometimes will ride the rev limiter with my S2000 but that car needs to be revved really hard to go - not really the case with the p-car.
