Question Exhaust Outlets

I am looking for exhaust outlets that are simular to the non-S 997.

Is there a company that makes soemthing of this nature.

I don't understand why Porsche puts four exhaust outlets on a six cylnder motor

Assuming you don't have PSE, I believe the OEM C2 oval tips will fit your stock mufflers.

I don't have a PSE, but am looking to purchase a aftermarket exhaust at teh same time

Maybe someone has a used set of stock C4 tips?

Izzone, WOW you are the 1st person to agree with me on this...I really do not like the dual tip look either. It makes zero sence to me to have 4 fake looking outlets or a 6 cymlinder engine. The stock Carrera oval tips will not fit from my understanding but maybe a muffler shop could re-weld the attachment point to make it bigger to fit the bigger Carrera S tubeing?.

So far all the aftermarket exhausr manufactures like Fabspeed, AWE and so forth only make the fakey dual tips.

I have talked to Alex at Sharkwerks and I would really like to have a single round tip at exhaust pipe, would look good in black. I agree the dual tips on each side coming from single pipes is not my thing. It would be relatively easy to make say a 2.5 inch pipe and neck it down to 2 inches to sleeve over the exhaust pipe. That would look good and yet not be the vey large tips that are on so many Honda's.

F4, I would be into that but I think a 3" pipe would fill out the exhaust holes a little better but not have the Honda fart can look either.

I am in for some tips like these ceramic coated black if anyone wants to make them.

Tend to agree with you on 3" as it would better fill the hole in the back bumper cover. OK Alex take the hint and run with it, you have a market

I guess I am not on an island....so the stock Carrera tips will not work?

If they did I was going to get some of them and have the ceramic coated black

I don't like the faux quad tip look either. I just don't feel like spending a bunch of money on something as superfluous as exhaust tips.

I do like the Tequipment big ovals but they don't fit on S or PSE equipped cars either.

I had regular tips waiting, top of the 'part mod pile' ... when C4S arrived in Dec.
Suncoast about your best price.....take some time to polish em up before throwing them on.

GreggT, looked on the suncoast website and did not see an option for the C4S.

Did you have any fit issues?

Supersprint makes some, anyone have experience with their exhaust system?

I could buy these and have them ceramic coated black.

You are right: the non-S tips will not fir the S exhaust - there is a 5/16" difference in diameter.

Or you could get the PSE so there is an actual reason for the quad tips...

I have thought about a PSE, it is just too expensive for little to no gains

I am thinking for us 2009 owners that the oval looking single tips on the stock Carrera will now fit the S quad tips because these cars now both use the same exhaust system.
