Having a ton of fun with the Cayman. Loud (Tubi) and go cart-like. Very playful and forgiving. Two trunks a nice feature...two sets of golf-stand (carry) bags in the rear...what a concept.
If you dropped in from another planet and didn't know about the 911 one would be very happy with the Cayman. Engine more free-revving at higher RPM's..definitely felt the missing 50hp. Mid-engine handling dynamics are noticeable right away. Exhaust resonance at speed but overall tuned to please the ear. Ride less compliant at times. Steering a bit overboosted and spongier brakes. First experience with sports chrono and glad I didn't get it.
Props to Porsche of Tysons for the loaner. Not selling the C2S anytime soon but will now have a gleam in my eye whenever I see a Cayman S...a very fine ride.

I had a Cayman S loaner a week ago while the Cayenne was in the shop. We put about 200 miles on it in 2 days. What I missed about my C4S while test driving this loaner was....... PSE , SSK , AWD , The ride, The backseats for the 2 small dogs, the visability, and my standard seats (the cayman had sport seats and I didnt like em in a DD). Cayman is a very nice car but when you drive it back to back with a 997 the choice is really obvious.

Thanks for sharing.
And to think some people say that the Boxsters/Caymans "aren't real Porsche's".
I've loved every minute of the time i've been behind the wheels of these cars.

Got a Speed Yellow S as a loaner. Liked it a lot. Did not like the slush drive non S that I got once, not at all. Wifey hated it even more when I had her drive it to autocross while I took the C2S.
