Default Headlight beam adjustment faulty warning

I unknowingly changed my damaged factory fitted xenon lights to non-xenon type and now have this warning. I was informed by my dealer that the only way to get rid of it is to fit back xenon lights. I am somehow not convinced. Does anyone here know how to work around this problem? For example, some sort of re-wiring or getting a ohm reading to bypass the warning...
