I disagree Ben.
Porsche designers clearly designed the new Panamera to look just like a$$.

:-D

Quit making me hungry, Pat. I'm still trying to lose my holiday weight gain.

From three years ago.

Oh, engineer - that explains a lot....

Design Engineer is one of those contradictions-in-terms, at least in this context.

But, pass the mushrooms please - although I'll probably spend my time finding art and magic in shapes more animated than those automotive.

Design engineers are a utilitarian bunch, known for their adherence to the design principle that "form follows function." Define the function, and the form takes shape naturally. There is, contrary to expectations using this principle, natural beauty in a simple, efficient functional design. Ornament is never functional, and will always take a back seat, if not tossed out of the car entirely, in an efficient design, as it has no utilitarian value. Not surprisingly, Porsche employs quite a large number of design engineers.

Nope, too ornamental for an engineer to have designed. Simple functional spokes would be typical of an engineer's design. The lobsters look like they were designed by a foo foo, artsy type trying to be cute and failed.
