Default Is your dealer cutting out the Porsche loaner program?

I'm hearing from a few dealers they are cutting out the Porsche loaners and going to rentals......

Just curious what your dealers are doing.

HBL in the DC area uses Audi A3s and Cayennes... Used to be the crappiest possible rentals.

My dealer promised Porsche's but when it came down to it they rented me some cheap, I can't remember GM car. Their excuse was that all their Porsche's were rented out.

I think it's a hit-or-miss thing as well. It just depends on what they have when you bring your car in for service. They don't keep a bazillion Porsche loaners on standby and sometimes they're all out and you get a non-Porsche rental. It's happened to me at Hennessy. It's also happened to me here in Houston at Momentum. So long as I have something to get me around for the day, I don't mind.

If it's a more time-consuming repair, like say...an IMS failure... I've asked for and gotten a Porsche loaner as soon as one came in.

My dealer is owned by a family that owns several other dealerships. One of those other dealers is Honda so the Porsche dealer offers Honda Accords as loaner vehicles. Not an issue, from my perspective as they are always clean, new, serviced and cheap and easy to drive. Boring as all hell but they're a lot more practical than the 911,

Here in Dallas -

Boardwalk Porsche lends Caymans, Cayennes and Boxsters!

Occasionally, I do get an S. I think they have one of each in the fleet.

Hey, what has "practical" got to do with it?

Keeping the Cayenne/Boxster/Cayman Loaner program. And if we run out of those, we put clients in 2009 MB's.

You bought a Porsche / Mercedes- don't you deserve to have one as a loaner?

How's the 911 treating you? What no picture of it in your Avatar?

The last time I had my car into Park Place, they did not offer a loaner car - Porsche or non-Porsche. When I asked, they simply said they couldn't offer me one.
