I disagree. My '73 911 and my BMW both have perforated leather and I can see no additional wear or "weakening" due to said holes.

Additionally, to the OP, I love this feature. It came on my BMW, and I thought it was going to be a frivolous extra option. I use it all the time in the summer, it really does make a huge difference. It also helps if you end up leaving on the seat heater too long and start to get just a little more warm than you'd like

That is the kind of thing a luxury sedan may have. I look at a 911 as a sports car and I'm on the camp who believes fewer doodads is better.
+1...you'd love my Porsche then.

Next generation seats will have temperature, odor, and moisture sensors built in that will correct any imbalances automatically. They also have a more sophisticated body mass sensors that allow the spring rates in the seats to adjust to the passenger/driver's weight. And in the sports versions sensors will detect the width and length of the body so as to be able to compensate for cornering forces. Needless to say each seat weighs up to 200lbs and costs in the region $7500 a piece. Mercedes and Lexus are vying to be first on the market to offer them.

Now decide if I'm joking or not...

Sharting is bad news,....especially if you're going Commando.
I put on a sterile glove and ask the scrub to pull my finger
