Hi,
Shopping for a new 911 is really fun, especially when you do it from home. I just got the specs from the 2009 C2 I am about to buy and realized it has seat ventilation. I know the fact that it sucks air. Where does the air circulate? I also noticed a bulge at the back of the seat, does it affect space in the back? I have a daughter to take along. What if you fart?
Will the smell stick to the seats interior? Please share your experience with this feature as I am about to get the car in 24 hours.
Vic

The bulge in the back is where one of the fans and the exhaust is.
That is the kind of thing a luxury sedan may have. I look at a 911 as a sports car and I'm on the camp who believes fewer doodads is better.

Someone mentioned that while effective, they will impact the life of the surface of the seats,--the holes that provide the ventilation weaken the leather considerably.

As for the fart thing,....
If you close the slats on the driver side vents, you can fart and it will shoot out at your passenger.

Yes, yes we do.
Here's a trade secret, wait for some cautery: the Bovie machine noise and the subsequent burning smell do well to cover up farts.
Sharting is bad news,....especially if you're going Commando.

I heard the box behind the back seat was where the optional Porsche colostomy bag was stored.

HEEEE stop raggin' on Cadillac drivers!! An Escalade is a perfect baby protection machine!! In an accident everybody will be dead or severally injured while the escalade passengers will still be alive and enjoying the air vented seats and watching DVD in front and back when the 50 airbags have been deflated!
