Default Anybody added XM Radio to a 997?

Thinking about adding XM Radio to my 2006 C2 997 Cab with PCM (and Denison). Has anyone done this, and if so how much did it cost? Did a search and the closest answer is this one from ajayabb last week:

There is a retrofit unit which attaches to the pcm installed by the dealer. I priced this out for my 2005 997 and it was going to cost somewhere between 1100-1200 dollars including labor...ouch! The antenna is place along the cowl, so it is nicely concealed BTW

Thanks - Stuart

Default XM in 997

Hi,

I did it, just a few weeks ago. If you have Dension, that's the most expensive part. I bought an XM Commander, and one of those ground loop isolaters and hooked it up to the AUX port on the Dension. Sounds fantastic. Installed the Commander right in the bin under all the PCM stuff. Looks great too.

*think* retail is around $700 ...got for $350 (maybe still be available here for $320? - same seller i purchased my unit from)

unit consists of two main parts (+antenna, +harnesses, etc), a standard Sirius "Vehicle Connect Kit" and the Nav-TV unit that connects the Sirius connect unit to the PCM/MOST ring

install was probably 5hrs for me, remove PCM, attach harness, fiber, etc ...run antenna wire thru firewall to front compartment (placed antenna under cowl near nav antenna) ...most effort placed into removing glovebox to mount both the Sirius and NavTV units control boxes behind there (have pics on another computer I can supply later?) more on my install here
