Default 997.2 4S TARGA production done?

is it true that Porsche discontinuing production of 997.2 targa 4S ? anybody know 100% for sure?

No idea; where did you get that info?

Given the US launch was not that long ago, it would not leave much time for a customer ordered car.

It could be all of the production slots are filled until next year (2009) some time.

Given the sales slump, and the relatively low number of Targas sold here, they may have already manufactured enough Targas to satisfy the projected 09 requirements. Perhaps they have suspended, rather than discontinued, production of Targas.

Targa 4 is redundant, unless you're distinguishing it from a Targa 4S.

I knew I had read that on Rennlist, but I couldn't find it because he did't put a space after Targa. Search on "Targa" won't find "Targa4S."

Don't believe it. For 09 production yes. But for the full life of the model, no.

Nothing like unsubstantiated claims on a board to stir things up. It may be true, but without some sort of evidence, I'm not buying it. It could just be the production schedule further out is not yet published. Heck, I could speculate all day long.
