If I remember correctly I don't think that Bill Gates had to modify the car. I think he ended up writing a program that demonstrates that the car is safe and that was enough to convince the government that the car could be legal. That's how there are more in the country now. I saw 5 or 6 in Pebble Beach last August.

did a little homework and it jogged my memory;

Gates, Allen Seinfield and others had lawyers lobby and got an exclusion for "collectors" as long as the car was driven less than 2500 mi/yr as i recall.

either way, i think i would get the CGT if i had $400 kilobucks to blow... of course great examples can be had for significantly less. but that's just me, i wouldn't quibble with someone plunking it down for a 959.

The number of articles I read detailing F40 vs 959....now that was a couple of differing perspectives.

Very high tech Porsche versus brutal, winnowed, sinew lean Ferrari...
