Default Here We Go Again: SB Fires

Fire season in California started yesterday according to Arnold. And so it did here in Santa Barbara. It was well put down yesterday night and this morning but then with high afternoon winds it has flared up again. Several homes have been lost already. Not enough aerial resources have been put on this job. I generally walk across the street to my neighbor's backyard for these shots.

Hope all is ok. I'm sure Santa Clarita will be next.

SB Press says it started near the water treatment plant.

I was thinking the same thing: here we go again.

Hopefully the Sundowners will diminish and losses won't increase.

Just saw a bunch of firetrucks heading your direction on the 101 near Thousand Oaks/Westlake.

An incredible shame. Santa Barbara, Mendocito some of the most beautiful areas I've ever seen in this country.

Here it is after the second night and they have lost several dozen structures. I have about 5 women staying with me who were evacuated. It's amazing how much the mountains have been lit up at night.
