Default Basalt with Black leather or Natural brown?

Basalt with Black full leather or Natural brown?

Base 911 with PDK, Sport chrono plus and 18" wheels with STD suspension and Adaptive sport seats is my pick .

I was wondering about interior color with Basalt/jet black exterior

I think full leather looks more obvious in colors other than black

How does natural brown look with black exterior look versus black interior and is the PDK wheel still Black or Brown?

Any opinions?

I think that natural brown would look great but unfortunately does not age as well as black so I always take black (1 time I took blue)

Why do you say natural brown does not age well? Everyone with natural leather (brown or other) say different.

I think Basalt is beautiful as an exterior color I have the sand beige light interior, and while it looks awesome against the basalt, I must forewarn you that one downside is that depending on time of day and sun position, you get some glare / reflection of the dashboard. It's not horrible, but it is annoying at times. Other than that, while it does get a tad dirtier than other colors, the quality of Porsche interiors so good that it cleans up easily.

I also think Sand Beige provides a nice contrast and looks great with Basalt Black, but I went with two tone beige/black full leather, which took care of any glare problem on the dash, and I could not be happier with the combo. I still think it is the best looking 997 interior I have ever seen, including the natural leathers. Also, by going two tone, you can do beige or black floor mats - I have both colors, but I have used black since I took delivery of my car and I really like the look. Here are pics with both mat colors.

My choice would be two-tone black/sand beige interior with black deviated carpeting. Looks stunning .

Natural (Semi-aniline) leathers age far more beautifully than the standard painted leathers (e.g. black) you find in a Porsche. After 10 years or so the natural leathers have a wonderful patina of age about them (a trip to Pebble Beach or a vintage car dealer would prove the point) whereas the painted leathers scuff and lose their color and get baggy like a cheap pair of shoes.

Well worth the investment. Having seen what it looks like when it ages I'm sold - it will be in my next car.

You could, if you had the money, go for natural brown leather throughout, but spec a natural gray leather dash top, and natural gray floor mats to give you a "half & half" option.

MartyB,
I like that interior. I considering it with Meteor gray.
Thanks for the pic.
Original question, I like contrasting colors. Basalt with natural would be my choice.

Natural Brown would be my vote and deviate the carpet to black, a great contrast.

Good luck
