It has handled beautifully!!

We received a mixture of snow, sleet, and rain that turned in to ice on my way home from work last night and, although traffic was poking, I never felt stranded. There were times that all four wheels were pulling and I was glad to have the 4x4.

Okay, okay, so it's not the blizzard the rest of you in the Rust Belt get to play in, but I finally got some snow to fall on my car today. I had to go seek it out about 10 miles from the house at about 3600 feet (OAT 36ºF) and sure enough, it was coming down, but melting upon contact. It's the best I can do for now.

Worth sharing:

A Winter Statistic:

98% OF AMERICANS SAY 'OH ****' BEFORE GOING IN THE DITCH ON A SLIPPERY ROAD.

THE OTHER 2% ARE FROM Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, N. DAKOTA, Maine, Michigan, New Hampshire, MONTANA AND Vermont.

THEY SAY, "HOLD MY BEER AND WATCH THIS."

Don't forget Illinois! And we say: "If you want to play you have to pay. And by the way a senate seat will cost you WAY more than a snowy ride in my C4S."

All out snow has melted (and flooded the lowlands with the heavy rains)... we may be done until February or next December.

Default I brought Snowshoes but,

used the C4S instead. Drove 1/4 of a mile in over 8" of snow, on the camp road, stopping twice to take pictures. I did find the limits and got stuck after negotiating a 90 degree corner going into a slight incline without enough momentum. Was able to back up to the 90 degree corner and park. The tires are Michelin Artic Alpins and the snow was light but the base underneath was packed snow and ice with no sand. I did have to use the snow shoes the last quarter mile to get the tractor w/snowblower.

Thanks ITA....what a hoot! Reference the salt and sand comments in the next post... I love the way the salt, sand , and dirt make pretty patterns on the paint showing the flow of air around the car(specially over the hips). Gotta take some pictures of that soon right before a wash.
