I had a garage queen 993 that never even saw the rain (while in my care). Although the turbo is substantially more expensive than the 993, I'm enjoying the hell out of driving her daily, on the track with the rain pouring down (with windows open--track rules), and in the snow. These cars do a fantastic job in all of these conditions.
Me lovin' it.

True, although the coverage can be minimize and in the end, these cars have very good corrosion protection--I've never seen one rust out.

I'm really missing the fun driving a 911 in the snow! I did it with all my other Porsches and it is such fun. I would have to get serious though and buy the 18 inch rims, toss on the real snow tires, stuff the cable chains in the trunk, and then put on the hardtop! But since it was 86ºF on my back deck (in the shade) this afternoon I'm going to have to do this during a road trip to points north...

Not an artistic pic, but qualifies. Just got the GT3, on first DE and it snows,... in Alabama. This is 6 AM Saturday. It's really windy with that icy, crusty snow. Witnessed a wreck with fatality just outside the track. That was terrible. Left bad thoughts on morning track runs.
Barber PCA DE last March.
