I think I will stick with my white gauges (wanted black). I don't mess around with electrics unless there is no other choice.
Alterations like these can always lead to niggly little electrical problems.

There is a shop in the LA area known as Hollywood Instruments - I think. They have had a good reputation. Don't know their number but can't be too tough to Google.
I love the look of your Yellow Instrument Panel.

Hello guys, some thread digging 😁
Do you know if a dual color gauge would be findable?
The idea would be to have a Ferrari-ish cluster look with the center gauge beeing yellow and all 4 side cluster beeing black.
Thanks.

No association or direct experience, I found their website while browsing some of the European forums

I'm still debating this with myself...
the Gauge face you sent are pretty cheap but I am scared to open the cluster and break something !
I did it once on a motorbike with success but the price of a repair on the Porsche cluster if something goes wrong scares me a lot ;-)
It seems the needles can be a pain to remove and also you have to be sure to put them back on good position

Yes, I understand, there are a couple of DIY's around but the worry would be breaking the existing needles or the spindle they are on.
Nothing worse than breaking something that was just fine before you started!!

Not excactly...
Mine for example is a mk2 pdk so cluster is not good also I prefer to have only the center gauge in Yellow ;-)
I think sometimes I will just have to get my guts and to the swap

Yellow gauges are such an acquired taste, that probably youre best bet is to 1) find a used set online 2) sell yours back online. The delta will be less than buying those repaint options for silly prices.
Although IM sure that the moment you sell the car, youll get the typical "I want the original spec gauges" complaint, because thats typical Porsche buyer. And you're in the enthusiast market with this car now, so youll have to play be its bizzare rules. Personally would consider trading the car if you want to do mods like this.
