Over $3k FROM the factory. No idea on afterwards lol.
stoppie-i am 6'7"-i am comfortable in the turbo, but i bet that those seats would require me to call 911 to get out. after to start putting in a few options, you wind up in turbo land. just food for thought for someone who is going to spend 115k on a c4s-another 15k gets you into the turbo, which i think does better on resale than the c4s. what you think?
DFI C4S vs. 997mkI Turbo? eh.....well figure that when you're done there will more then likely be over a $20k delta between the two MSRP wise for a decent optioned out car(s).
Both are tremendous cars. The launch car is a monster. I'm in heat over it. Thinking that car will be gone before weeks end.
But you should buy for what's best for you. Forget the rest.

I was a non-believer in the stripe until I had the opportunity to see two grey FL cars, a 2S and 4S, side by side on the weekend. Stripe looks a lot better in person and franlkly made the back-end appear more resolved in the 4S over the 2S. I actually liked it for the first time...

Catch 22 in 4 land--get red to hide the bogus reflector strip or a silver to hide the silver grills. On a colored car it seems the 4 would be very busy up front: the car color, the black plastic inlets, the silver razor blade grills and white headlights.

Three Wheelin'
Saw the new 4's at the stealer and frankly the red stripe looks like something a 10 year-old would draw on the back of an Evezzo at the back of a school exercise book. I can't understand why anyone would bother with this excrement on the back of his car. It misses the executional sharpness on previous 911's by a mile. Does Michael Mauer know what he's doing? Hopefully Eric le Plug can find a way to mask it or obliterate it for a few extra $'s.

I agreee the launch car is gorgeous... in a silver. In a colored car, it becomes a bit of a Monet--beautiful at a distance, disturbing up close. The different plastic trim colors up front, the red stripe out back, even the unfortunate XM antenna all distract from the purity of the car. Not that any of this will stop anyone from picking a 4 or 4S, I just find it a little sad--further evidence of marketing leading design.

You don't have to get XM from the factory ya know.....so no bump. The Strip in my opinion is just sticking to history. People will get used to it.

I think it's so cool how individual preferences differ, sometimes to the extreme... those wheels are one of the three reasons why I'm getting another 997 (PDK and back-to-cab being the other two). I absolutely love love love those rims and would have gotten them for my current one if I hadn't decided to order new.
