Look what arrived
Thanks everyone. Here is my option list. There were definitely other options I wish I could have gotten, but as all us Porschephiles know, the sky (and your wallet) is the limit on options.
Wanted:
Nav - couldn't justify the price
Power adaptive seats - my wife still thinks I'm ghetto for buying a 100K car without power seats
Full leather & leather console with colored stitching - this would have completed what little I got in colored stitching, but at a tune of about 6,500 more
Bluetooth - cool, but once again pricey
Whatever, the list goes on and on. Here are the actual basic options I got. Btw, it sat at San Diego port for 2 weeks due to the turbo EPA issue. The turbos were finally released and were at the dealer. Saw a white one that had a sticker of 160K, and that's a coupe.
AP Sport seats BLACK
P77 Leather sport seats BLACK
XSC Crest in headrest
640 Sport chrono
680 Bose
09991 Steering wheel deviating & storage bin RED
P17 PASM Sports suspension & LSD
XPA Sport steering wheel
CUV Logo on storage bin
CGA Headlight cleaner painted exterior
XSX Seat belts guards red
022 Dials in black
24891 Deviated stitching seats RED
24911 Deviated stitching door handle/lid RED
Let me know what you guys think of the options I got. And yes, I love the color. My previous was meteor which eveyrone I knew INSISTED I get again, but I just couldn't. It seems everyone gets white, gt silver, or black. I think I made the right choice.
And, please ask me anything about the differences between the previous 997 and the current one. I have analyzed everything; it's the CPA in me.
One thing I did notice is that I had the XRR Sport wheels before, which are .5" inch wider in the front and back and have 10MM larger tires in the back, sit much more flush with the fender. If I had purchased those wheels, which I did not think would look good with red (grey and red don't match that well in my opinion), it would really show how much lower it is with sports PASM. I briefly thought about spacers, but I am going to wait until I can afford new wheels and that will fix that issue.
No question, it needs an exhaust as it is quieter than the previous version, both the engine and the exhaust.

Looks fantastic... Congrats!!
Man I can't get enough of how beautiful these cars are and I'm still mesmerized everytime I walk in or thru my garage or seeing them on the streets or seeing the pics posted on the internet. Life is good.

I'll take you up on that. How's the ride and handling with the PASM-S? How does the motor sound/feel different from the 997.1? And some interior shots showing the minimal stitching would be great, too...I'm thinking about going that route. Thanks in advance...
Interior photos coming in a few hours. I'm so happy I got guards red. It's not that common even in sunny CA. Thank you everyone for your kind words.
Ride and handling is noticeably tighter and stiffer with the P17 option, even when you are not in sport mode. I'm pretty cautious during break in, but the speed seems to increase more linear at a lower RPM than my 2007 997S. The engine and the exhaust is quieter. The DFI makes a unique sound at idle and start up and seems to start quicker and easier due to the better fuel management. I was under the engine analzying stuff and it's really a completely different car; I would not call it a face lift.
I'm so lucky to have this car. Thanks again and keep your comments/questions coming.

Truly stunning. Please elaborate on your thoughts regarding the differences between the 997 MK1 and MK2....particularly speed, power delivery, steering and handling (ie PASM Sport, LSD). Thanks.
