4+ hours at the track with 997.5's, with some time in the classroom, but "you spend most of your time behind the wheel on the track." Is it a marketing event? Sure. Are they trying to get me to buy the new 997.5 with PDK? Sure. Am I going to enjoy myself? Hell, yes!
I've never been on the track, so I can't wait for this. Free track time and free driving instruction. I'd probably sit through a time share pitch for that.....

The local dealer here in the Palm Springs area had an outing yesterday at the Palm Springs airport. It was a nice afternoon (great lunch!) with a little circuit set up outside the Palm Springs Air Museum. I was able to drive the new 997 & 997S w' PDK. They had some of the Porsche Driving Instructors from Birmingham go along with us and it was a good time. I really didn't get a feel for the PDK around the tight circuit. I plan on taking a PDK car out on the street for a local drive to see how it is in the real world. I still get a lot of enjoyment from driving my stick "S". I don't think I'll be trading in for quite some time. Enjoy the track time.....it should be a blast.

My local dealer invited me to a similar event in a couple of weeks. Unfortunately, I'll be out of town... just my luck. People should check with their dealers. My understanding is that PNA is basically touring the country with cars and professional drivers to host these driving events with local dealers as a marketing and customer appreciation tool.

If you didn't get your fill, I'll be out there at Cresson (old track) on December 6/7 with TDE. There are still spots open -- you should join us!
