My own personal opinion is to definitely stay away from combining Adaptive Sport Seats with Supple (read: puffy wrinkled) Leather.

I had Supple Leather in my 993 and hated the look. It's great for a Cadillac, not so much for a Porsche.

Again, just my opinion.

Regarding the self-dimming, I think this is very regionally-based. They come with the 997 Turbo, and I'm glad they do.

I live in Michigan and for about 4-5 months out of the year, I will be driving in to work in the dark and driving home from work in the dark. Currently, I am having to deal with construction traffic too, so when that pickup is inches off my rear bumper (like this morning), I am glad the self-dimming mirrors work so well.

Additionally, if you ever want to mount a radar detector (such as the Valentine 1) up near the dome light, you'll be glad you have the Self Dimming Mirror Option--that is, the SDMO provides switched power to the dome area (to power the rear view mirror) and as such the switched power can be used to power the radar detector. This causes it to turn on/off automatically with the car's ignition. It's a simple DIY installation.

I wouldn't do park assist -or self dimming mirrors.

Regarding sport chrono, according to Porsche it does shave ~.4 seconds off 0-60 times.

I believe that is only on PDK equipped cars. The OP's will be a manual.
