Default Seatback issue

Did PAG change the seat design recently? It appears that the fixed angle between the back and the headrest is bigger. I like to have the seatback close to vertical but now the headrest pushes my head forward. 996 seats and (I guess) early 997 seats were perfect. Why did PAG change them? Is it because everyone drives reclined - the wrong thing to do for many reasons including proper sports driving.

I agree that too reclined is not good for proper sports driving, but I can't imagine ever wanting to have my seat back in a vertical position, no matter what kind of driving I'm doing.
