It's not that easy. The only thing I would suggest is to purchase a metal seatbelt end (male) without the strap and have it handy in the car for the times you want to move the car without belting in.

One day it will save you a broker shoulder bone or something and you will be very happy. Absolutely no need to drive around even for a second without one. Ask me how I know... When you do, ask me how much money I had on me when it happened as I was on my way to buy a house... ask me how lucky I was not to pass out, for the ambulance guys to make a few years wages in one go off me... need I say more?

I'm afraid the overwhelming opinion hear is that you may have already gone nuts. Why wouldn't you just wear the damn thing? I've spent the last 15 minutes thinking about why not to wear it and couldn't come up with any legitimate reasons.

I gave $20 to the porsche tech when my car was in service for an oil change and he turned it off for me.

Be stupid-
Solution is simple, buckle the belt and then sit on it

I always wear my seat belt but I turned it off because if need to move the car or reach for something in the back seat it does not stop.

The belt buckle has a simple contact switch in it, with wiring that leaves the seat. If you really want to be so stupid as not to wear year seatbelt, find the correct wires and connect them so it appears the seat belt is always worn.

Yes, its your fault, but our government (in the USA at least) then punishes everyone, including me, for your stupidity.

Remember that nonsense in the late 80's early 90's when cars had to have those moronic automatic belt mechanisms because the US Govt wanted to ensure it protected morons who did not want to wear belts?

Its why we had/have airbags designed not to work with a belt, but to work to protect even people who don't wear a belt (and as a result killed several children and injured a bunch of folks).

If only the non-belt wearing person was the only one injured I'd say, do what you want. But you punish everyone when you don't wear your belt.
