Default Performance upgrade

How much do I have to pay to Supercharge my stock 997 S?

I know it's too simple and complicated question but I'm just asking price range.

Or any ideas for performance upgrade? any opinions?

Thank you

VF-Engineering and I think it's around $11-12k + $2k to install (+ $80-$125 for the optional dyno run).

I've personally no experience in superchargers (I'm a turbo guy) and/or the installation of them on Porsches, but I'd say with a $10,000 Supercharger kit, have about $20,000 in funds available.
Its very rarely as "simple" as people say and going over budget is quite easy when dealing with something of this complexity. This is just my experience with other automobiles and turbochargers... maybe I'm just overly cautious though.

The $14000 price is reasonable, but may be a little low. Certainly doesn't include sales tax. The VF system, previously sold by Evo, is reputed to be extremely reliable and trouble free. Additional servicing, frequent spark plug and oil changes, are recommended by the manufacturer. If you are installing a supercharger, it makes sense to also retrofit the headers, catalytics & mufflers for another $4000 or so. Expect clutch life to be reduced.

There are several comprehensive threads on this issue, do a search. There is nothing wrong with asking simple questions, but, if you are asking them, consider if you are really ready to do this. Unless you will keep the car long term, don't do it.

The concensus herein has been to recommend one purchase a 997 TT rather than to modify a current 997 or 997S.

+1,000,000,000,00 imho, but if you must supercharge, I'd go to RUF. http://www.rufautocentre.com/conversions/997.asp You're going to pay a bundle, but you'll get what you pay for, including a warranty.

Absolutely! Alois Ruf is the go-to guy for a first rate modification.

It also bears repeating... before you spend any money take your stock 997S to a "driver education" track weekend. After a couple hundred track miles see if you still believe that your engine is the weakest link.
