Default DME Updated

Just had my first service at dealer.

Driving home, the car felt significantly peppier. I check to see if if sport mode was engaged, which it wasn't.

They put in a new computer: W737 Campaign - DME Update

After seeing the DME change under warranty, I asked the dealer and they said it's based on car SN and no specifics, but loads the latest SW etc....

Cool!....anyone else experience this or know more about it?

My car was called in for a DME update last week. Dealer said Porsche was having issues with the external cooling fans seizing at low speed (the fans are two speed fans - low and high) so Porsche has updated the DME to only run the fans at high speed. Go figure...

It is only to disable the High speed engine compartment fan. W732 is another Campaign that does the same thing by just replacing the fuse with a dummy fuse.

In before me... That is incorrect, the recall is to diable the high speed fan, it can cause a fire.

Is this recall for all 997s?

My warranty expires this winter, so I am interested.

Correct, it doesnt matter if you are in warranty or not. Call your dealer with your vin to check for any campaigns.
