Default Bye 997/911 Threads - Hi Boxster Threads

Hi Everyone,
Today, I traded my 2006 911 C4 for a 2008 Boxster. I loved my 911 to be sure but it suffered from a plethora of electrical (read computer) problems so I'm going to try on a Boxster. I know this is sort of backwards but so be it.

Must've been some serious gremlins (a string of them, it sounds like) for you to get rid of a 997 -- for a completely different model, no less. In any case, congrats and enjoy the new 987. I miss mine too...

I miss my 986 as well, but only for the evening drives with the top down. You will miss the horse power of your 997 and stopping power as well.

I think you'll have an absolute blast driving the Boxster. I am surprised though that you didn't go for the Boxster S. You're definitely going to notice the significant reduction in power, but the handling in my opinion is much more fun.
I miss the heck out of my 987S. The only reason I got rid of it was because we had a baby and I wanted to be able to take my daughter (and now my son too) in the Porsche with me.

Enjoy!

Thanks everyone. I emailed to see if I could pick up the Boxster today (Tue.), a day early. I can and I will! I've been going through P-car withdrawal.

If there's any doubt- go drive a Boxster RS 60 Spyder. THAT car is amazing. Every inch is pleasing to the eye. Now only if the darned thing leased out well- I'd have one!

True. Plus everyone knows that GT Silver over Carrera Red leather makes for the best looking Porsches.

I'm trying to add a Boxster to my stable, but the wifey is giving me a hard time, so I'll just wait it out.

The Boxster is super great!
