Were you at Laguna Seca this year? There was a post in the previous few weeks of such a car, a C2S at Laguna. Where did the idea for Aetna Blue come from, is there a story here or was it purchased off the lot and dealer built? Enquiring minds need to know.

Hi Again,

Yes i was at the Historics this year (unfortunately i was only able to stay Saturday). I am surprised to learn of these rumors and I will have to search for it later.

As for the story, I started a thinking of a build and color a few years ago and originally i had a choice to take factory delivery or a custom PTS. After much thought i decided to go with an old classic Porsche color.

After searching I chose Aetna Blue as I am currently restoring a 1960 356 Roadster and wanted to pay homage. I also really like the way a non-metallic looks on the curves of these cars. That is when the fun began, ordering and waiting to see if it would turn out as i had imagined. needless to say i was numb when i picked the car up and have been overjoyed ever since.

Best,

James

By the Way Bruce, love the maritime !

Hi James,
I was the guy that posted a picture of your car a few weeks ago. Hope you don't mind!

I gotta tell you, I decided to start looking (seriously this time) for a C2S after seeing your car at Laguna Seca and taking in that awesome weekend. I'd been down the road to get a P-car before but seeing that color really got me motivated - and of course I foolishly searched for Aetna blue knowing darn well that it was factory custom order that I'd never find - ha.

Anyway, I ended up with exactly what I was looking for and am really enjoying the heck out of it.

So... thanks very much for the inspiration!

Cheers,
Brady

I posted these in my questions thread after I got the car, but this thead seems more appropriate.

2007 C2, black/black (not too many options, but enough):

Accessory plans are: Bluetooth integration and an aftermarket exhaust, in that order once I have the money for them.
