Results of informal average age of Porsche owner thread
I had some idle time, so I took the time to compute the average age of the responses:
What I found:
The obligatory immediate responses complaining that the guy did not do a previous search! This brings a smirk to my face. Polls are polls. Perhaps the guy wants a current snap shot of the average age.
Extracting the data (current age) was kind of difficult, because there were a lot of responses about how old owners were when owners had this or that!
Drum roll ....
The average age is 41.34
If you are > 41, go get yourself a Geritol.
If you are younger, then I guess you are younger. Me I am 49.

You're only gathering data of average age of ownership of those who also frequent a forum like this. In my experience, those who are in the 997 demographic (from scientific studies - 51+) are far less likely to frequent forums than 30 somethings are.

When I tell someone I finally got a Porsche, and then they see it, they always say, "Oh, I did not think you got a new one. I just figured you got an older one."
Maybe that is because I live a modest life style and my other cars are Nissans.
By the way.................................I was born in 1947, a Viet Nam vet, waited 40 years to get my first Porsche which just turns out to be my first new car as well.
