Default transporting car

In the past, it seems that most people thought that Intercity was about the best company for transporting a vehicle across the U.S.

I am trying to book them and it seems that they can't commit to exact dates for pick up, which makes things very difficult when you're trying to coordinate all the other aspects of a coast to coast move.

Does anyone have any other company that they can recommend?

Thanks

Try www.demoise.com. I used them and 6-8 friends have used them - great service, very careful, they have there own drivers (not a broker) and I can't say enough good things about them!

I had good luck with FedEx Custom Critical. They were actually recommended to me by Intercity when Intercity couldn't meet my needs.

I believe most carriers attempt to route their transports in a certain manner depending on orders booked and their locations. That's the most economically feasible way to transport a vehicle unless you're willing to pay for the costs for the entire carrier + drivers. Especially true these days w/ fuel cost so high.

I had Intercity transport my Porsche last year and while they couldn't give me a precise pickup date at booking time they did give me a less than 5 day window. They coordinated the pickup w/ the contact I provided in a very professional manner and once it was picked up the driver did great job keeping me informed as to it's whereabouts and delivery day/time.

Intercity does a great job; I wouldn't hesitate recommending them or using them again.

Try Horseless Carriage out of Patterson, NJ........they do all the new Ferarri's , enclosed trnasport and great people, resonably priced for services rendered. I move industrial machinery for a living.....I'm very peticular on how things are moved. These guys are 1st rate!

I just used G & L Transport based on recommendation of a local high-end auto broker who has used them extensively. 866-726-0065.

Driver was very professional, and the car arrived in Charlotte today in good order. They picked up 2 days early and delivered 1-2 days after they said, but I understand this is normal as they route to keep the truck full. He said he does a good business bringing Rolls Royces from Rhode Island to Hollywood and Malibu. He brought a new Shelby Mustang from Galpin Ford in LA to Greensboro, NC on the load.

Will be using them to ship the car back from my son's hme in Virginia after the Parade. Almost $300 cheaper for the return.
