Other drivers....
And I have never ever had anyone yell at me on the freeway to "punch it" when I am driving my minivan.
I think porsche drivers just take the cake on this one.
I see some nice porsches and they are hot (my buddy had a GT3, LOVED IT!), but when you try and complement them, they look at you as how dare you speak to me, i drive a proche.
Whenever I drive I always rev match when I down shift, well there was this one porche next to me and he thought I was out to race him or something (which seems like the case with most porsche owners, looks like you guys...you know, when you think EVERYONE is trying to race you). Well anyways, he looks at me and just shakes his head. I asked what he was shaking his head for and he said "I dont race people like you". Well, as you can imagin i was shocked as i was down shifting not revving my motor(must had heard my BOV or something, i dont know). So, anyways, I told him i dont porsches cause they are a waste of time for me, he asks me what i got, i say.."Nothing you can afford pal....BMW E21". Light turned greend, he gets on it so naturally I give it a bit of a go and when I pulled up to him, i waved good bye and sped off.
Just thought i would share my thoughts.

P.S. I say hello to everyone who says hi (and I even like Corvettes) and I rev match as well. I am usually the recipient of scorn for rev matching, whether by other drivers, pedestrians, or my wife.
Hey guys, new member (sort of) here.
In my experience, when you drive a fast, nice or rare car (I was once owner of a 1994 Toyota Supra TT) you get attention. Being that mine was bright yellow, I got twice as much as usual. Now I'm a young guy, so I've still got a little of that fire in my belly, but I've gotten in enough trouble to have calmed down quite a bit.
Allow me for a moment to speak for the guys who are revving at you, dodging traffic to get a stare at you, or urging you to get on the gas a bit. From our perspective, you are an old bastard driving one of our dream cars. On the one hand it's probably best that you're driving it, because we're all crazy and as we have seen time and time again, young kid + fast car = wreck.
On the other hand, most of us are pretty sure that you're just another stuffy old codger wasting his fun box away driving it at the speed limit. We foolishly believe that we could drive it better than you, and that if your car could talk it would hate you for being such a spoil sport.
Those of us who don't think that way (you can tell because we're probably not violently swerving behind you, or trying to cut you off) just want to get a glimpse of your nice car. Unless you're a **** star (I live in the San Fernando Valley, it's not unlikely, so don't feel bad if I look disappointed when I see you) none of us want to look at you, we want to see the car. If you don't like the attention (c'mon, admit it, you do) then I suggest driving a Mercedes. Nobody pays attention to those.
