Default TPMS Batteries

Anyone had to change the TPMS batteries?? - How long are they supposed to last and is it easy to change them (I realise tyre removal is necessary).

Looks like the Beru website is down but I seem to remember the useful life of the batteries was 5 to 7 years and I don't think they were replaceable - the whole unit had to be replaced.

The units are throwaways,--as brennan states. About 7 year max. Unit prices should be lower in several years as they start to make them in quantity.

Take a look at the TPMS post below, you will see a picture of the units. There is no changing the batteries.
