one of my favorites was a Jeep dealer, told me the car had a straight V-6 engine. i told him with a straight face that i had never seen a straight v-6 and couldn't wait to see it. he popped the hood and i askeed him where the straight part was. he said they left it out on that vehicle as there were testing some new stuff. i didn't buy a jeep.

So I walk into this dealership that sells off lease US cars here in Canada.
One of their sales man comes quickly over to see me. I ask him about his Porsche inventory (he has a Boxster in the showroom) and he starts to go through their inventory database. As he is searching, he turns to me and asks, " what is the difference between a Boxster and a Carrera?"
I was stunned. I decided to go the simple route with him. So I point to the rear wheel of the Boxster, and say, " on the bOxster, the engine is here, on the Carrera, it is behond the rear wheel. Plus, there are two seats in a Boxster, 4 in a Carrera."
"Oh..." he says. "Why does that make a difference."
I politely finished the conversation and walked out. I never went back.
