Default Blk 997 w solid Blk lobster forks? Pics?

I'm thinking of having mine painted flat black. Anyone have a pics of a black car with this? Please post pics... I did a search but couldn't find the blk/blk combo. I founds some with the factory job that leaves the rim silver but that's not what I want to do.

Can't help you with the black car, but page 2 of this thread has some solid flat-black lobster pics.

EDITED: Sorry! Just realized you were asking for FLAT black. Mine aren't

Here's a picture of mine. The wheels and tires are for sale if you're interested.

I had black (powder coated) lobsters up until a few weeks ago. I traded them back to stock. IMHO the black attract a lot of dust and racers. The stock is more stealth. I'm already thinking about my next Porsche-bum-basic with 18" CIIIs in black.

I have a similar dilemma. living in seattle, i had to take off my pirellis since they were like driving on ice skates in the winter. i have them in the garage. for summer & track time, i need another set of wheels and i'm looking for take offs. i can get the lobster claws and run them stock or paint them black. i also found a set of sport designs. i guess i could paint them easier.

alstoy - are you saying the black gets dirtier? i'm not so concerned about attracting racers....tx

Attracts a lot of racers?! That's too funny!

I had black wheels on my M5, but that car was so stealth not many people knew what it was. I like it because it was a classy looking car, very comfortable, and could run aggressive when asked without attracting much attention. I've worried more about cars that cost less just because people knew they were a Porsche.

brendorenn-must be just me, but I find the stock colour more easy to keep clean. The matt might be just fine though.

fluid15-again must be just me, but the stock wheels get less attention. I'm fine with racing on a track or where allowed, but the straw that broke the camels back was the scooped up Volvo (no joke) racing me in rush hour traffic. Maybe I need to get a ****, sorry-Prius.

Agree 100%. The matte black really redeems the lobsters in my eyes; I'm definitely going to go matte if I paint them.

Hahaaha, sure, spray cans, whatever it takes

For me, Chin on 6/14 is definite, but I haven't yet gotten a confirmation for my registration for PCA on 5/31. Hopefully both will be a go. I really like the summer track season because there are so many events, but the heat gets pretty tiring.

thansk }{ and Alstoy.

fyi - i found some lobster fork take offs for $1250 (set), painted factory black. i'll probably jump on those & repaint them flat black. i don't mind the gloss so much but the factory paint has the silver rim which i don't prefer.
