Has anyone had the dealer install their Denison unit? How much did they charge? One other question i had was when I had big stereos in previous cars I had horrible alternator whine. You don't get that with this do you? I assume that something that would come with adding an amp.

The Dension unit in my car was installed before I got it. When I plugged my Zen MP3 player into the audio inputs of the Dension, I got a lot of alternator whine. I had to install an in-line noise reduction coil to reduce the noise, but it worked pretty well. Radio Shack has them.

Being somewhat electronically challenged, I was leery of doing the install myself. I took my time, read and re-read the instructions and threads and ventured forth. It actually was very easy and I had no problems with alternator noise or any other malfunction. Tapping into the MOST system was at first a scary thought but the parts included in the pack were straight forward and easy to accomplish.

I feel it is one of the best mods I have done to the pcar.

I had the install professionall done; great but now I update my ipod touch to the newest software and now my unit won't charge. Plays fine but no charging of the ipod from the vehicle which sucks. otherwise good unit.

It's really not that difficult...especially if you install it in the front trunk and leave the ipod in there. It gets a litte bit more difficult if you want it installed in the glove box or center console.

I had a CD changer so that made it a piece of cake. Install to get it working was literally 15 minutes. Then maybe about 60 minutes to get everything situated where i wanted it, wires hidden, and everythign put back together.

Really not that hard at all. I had no previous experience with the MOST or fiber optic systems.

I'd like to install it myself but I'm pretty bad at this kind of stuff. I could barely do the clear side markers.
