Just had the windows tinted to my 08 997 C2. Now what? I wanna keep mine for the next 7+ years and want to keep her in showroom condition and do necessary work while the paint is new. I saw that some people doing the 3M or Premier clear bra in the front and back. What are the advantages and disadvantages? Wouldn't that affect the car paint - covered area vs uncovered spots? Would they turn yellow after a few years? Wouldn't all the grime collect along the clear bra where they end around the edges?

How many have done this and is this really recommended? I wanna hear from those that have had em for years. So the car would be free of stone paint chips, but what about cost benefit? I read it's about $1,500, but can that be justified if you're gonna keep the car for 3 - 5 years? What if you leased your 997, would you still spend that money? How many years are you guys in here planning on keeping the car? I wouldn't think people would spend this much on a leased car, would they?

What else needs to be done maintenance-wise while it's fresh?
