I truly do not "get" the beige color variations. They do not say "class" to me... they say "Japanese sedan".
Hell, I own AS, the mos bashed color on RL...so what do I know.
To each his own.

I believe that's Mirage. One of my all time favorite colors.

Factory personnel get their cars half off
so at half off they're still paying close to what we pay

I seem to remember that the Porsche employee discount is 25% and 35% (depending on tenure), not 50%, but I may very well be wrong (their Christmas bonus is 55 percent, though).
Either way: not sure if this is the same in the U.S., but tax law in Germany has a clause called "Geldwerter Vorteil" (roughly translated, "money-like advantages"). If an employee discount exceeds EUR1,080/yr or 4 percent of the "usual consumer market price" of the discounted product(s), then the discount amount beyond these upper limits is considered employee income and as such is subject to income tax (minimum of 25 percent for the lowest income category), as well as all kinds of other taxes calculated on the basis of income (church tax, health insurance, retirement contribution, unemployment contribution, unification solidarity tax, and disability insurance [all mandatory]). That means, while you may save money on the car, you have all these other taxes deducted from your next paycheck, or - if your next paycheck is not big enough - you'll have to pay those taxes in cash. That tax obligation may exceed 50 percent of the discount, and not everybody can wing to pay that, so a lot of employees (of any type of business) do not take advantage of employee discounts.
(I know you did not really want to learn this, but I thought I'd throw it out there anyway for the one or two who did!)

Is it only me, but the black and orange C2S looks like if you look closely to the interior, it seems that one has the GT2 type seats with the orange highlights where the belts and carbon fiber mesh is. It doesn't look like a roll cage in that area, but a color addition of orange to a seat back the closely resembles the GT2 cabon fiber seats.

You might be right. I was crawling all over a new 08 GT2 this afternoon at the dealership in town. (They have it marked up another $30K).
Break Break.
Thanks for the insight into the employee pricing and Germany's income tax laws. Once again, we are so fortunate to be living in the United States where we get the most Porsche for the $ compared to the £, ¥ and the €.

I thought so, they so look like the GT2 seats or at least GT3 type seats that are highlighted with the orange.
Ah the new GT2... What a sick car! Oh well, there's always Powerball

Before you put them on eBay you might want to drive one! - It's not getting very good reviews in the UK; both Clarkson, and the monthly mag ( GT Porsche) were very dissapointed with it ( particularly when compared to the GT3 and the standard Turbo) ......
