Default Gold vs Silver Badge

What is your preference? Both OEM on Meteor Grey.

I went thru the same exercise with my car if you have the colored wheel crests, I say match to that. If wheel crests are un-colored, the silver looks more tasteful

I prefer the standard gold badge, but only slightly. I don't think you can really go wrong. I do agree that if you have the colored wheel crests then you should stay with the gold.

Silver. I've transfered my silver badge from (Seal Gray) car to (Seal Gray) car and will probably do so again for the next car.

Gold...just like every other Porsche emblem on your car (except for your wheels if you don't have the colored crests)...but even then they wouldn't match this silver one you have there because it has colors in it.

Definitely the original -- gold. I think gold adds a nice color accent on the whole package.

I went with the gold as well, as a) I think it looks better as well, and b) I have the colored crests on the wheels in gold so it matched. On your car, I think they both look good, but the silver just looked slighly better all things being equal

What color is your interior? Altho i favor gold, if your interior is also Grey toned, the silver might look nice on your car esp.

I prefer the one that says "Porsche" on it.

There is no substitute for the gold standard issued at the factory.

In my opinion, the world famous Porsche Crest is not something to be tampered with, and produced in various color combinations just to better color coordinate with the paint, a questionable objective at best. It is a badge of honor with a legacy history that continues a long tradition.

It's like changing the colors of the stars and stripes to better coordinate with a particular military uniform. All US military uniforms look best with the Red, White, and Blue. All Porsches look best with the Gold, Red, and Black.

EDIT: For what it's worth, the gold goes better with the Meteor Grey paint, if color coordination is important to you.
