I think Mexico Blue looks great. A lot of the vibrant Porsche colors from the 70s look very, very good. I wouldn't mind seeing a new Porsche in Viper Red.
There are too many silver, grey, black Porsches out there. I'm allowed to say that because I have one.
I used to think paying for paint to sample was crazy. Now, I think, if you're going to keep the car, why not?

Interesting point I guess...I just always wonder if those "unique" colors are wonderful for the first year, until they wear off, and then you realize you are stuck with a crayola colored ride? then again, bright orange lambo's always make my head turn

Not trying to be too "bizarro", and to each his own as regards taste. Basalt exterior and Beige interior are probably my least favorite Pcar color choices and together, well, kind of vanilla and not my thing.
I know it's dumb, but I was put off by recent comments about the Mexico Blue turbo cab...I mean, I had just gotten my car, hadn't even posted, and the color was already being disparaged, and in singularly juvenile terms. So, I tried to be a little "cute" when I posted. Oops.
Anyways, about my car:
Mexico Blue/Black C2S
Sports Seats, Silver Gauges, etc.
PCCB
SSK
PSS10s PASM-compatible
EVOMs sc
Full Fabspeed headers, 200 cell cats, and mufflers
GT3 RS steering wheel
Cargraphic CF front lip
Dymag 19" Wheels: 19 lb rear/16 lb front (awaiting rubber)
The car dyno'd at 425 rwhp with pump gas on a conservative Mustang dyno 2 weeks ago.
It's fast, for sure, but what I love is the quickness, immediate and progressive delivery of power, sure-footed grip, and especially the light and nimble handling.
I'm coming out of (over the last 12 years) a stock 95 C2 cab (Polar Silver), well-modded 98C2S (Black/Black) and, most recently, a 96 turbo (Arctic Silver/Flamenco Red)...I was aiming for a combination of the handling, clutch feel and power delivery of the C2S with the massive power of the tt...this car has already exceeded my expectations. It has the driving quality, the Porsche-ness, that I've been missing.

Ihatch - obviously, we are polar opposite in our preferences...as I stated, no offense on my comments, as I was simply responding to your opening line of "All opinions re: the color are acceptable"...I guess that was not true. Oh well, you enjoy your preferred car, and I will enjoy my simple, classy Basalt Black, and we'll each be happy.

Why thankyou...beneath those boring and loud exteriors, respectively, lurks a fine machine, no matter the color Keep us posted on the Supercharger as it breaks in...sounds like a hoot to have although, this car stock is already muy fun (in honor of your Mexico blue)! Also, what are your initial thoughts on the PSS10's? For a daily driver, would they be brutal?

I guess Mexico Blue requires a supercharger... The other guy I know with a Mexico Blue Carrera S also has a supercharger (and I think it's EVOMS too).
I love it - my wife doesn't agree, but then she's not paying for it, right?

Really great cars, and, frankly, I agree with you as regards stock power...at sea level, that is. I live at 7000ft, where a normally aspirated engine loses 25%, which would leave me at 265hp in a stock S. This simply isn't enough. The forced induction setup loses something like 3%, which still leaves me with mucho power to push the car around. I didn't want a turbo so this made the most sense.
My early initial impressions of the PSS10s is that they are utterly livable in daily driving, even on Santa Fe's horrible streets. More later.
