My apologies...after re-checking the TSB, you do need PCM 2.1 version LEVEL "C" specifically for the coming Nav update.

To find out what you have: hold down the PCM's MAIN + TRIP button simultaneously. Select "PCM" in the menu with the torary **** and press to select and display the version info.

From the TSB:

Standard version: 04035xxx
Model Level A: 04202xxx
Model Level B: 05024xxx
Model Level C: 05395xxx <====== Needed for (and comes with) the April 1, 2008 Nav Update

Just had Nav update installed, you can do it easily especially from 06 models on with Level B PCM.
Just feed several of the 4 the discs into the Nav drive and follow instructions in TSB from Renntech.
Waiting to see if RTT ever works. Aprox $300, get your PCA 10% off.
You also get a nice CD case!!!!

Hi,

In addition to the real time traffic, nice CD case, or updated map... is there any other new features or interfaces that you noticed?

Thanks,

Just in this evening, no trip to try yet! My former Nav was year 05, so? Hopefully can't be worse.
No other noticeable differences,so far.
Did I say nice, rather expensive, CD Case? :>)

You can do this yourself and save $100+ install fee. Unless you can get a free install from dealer $300 minus %10 PCA.
You just feed in the discs, depending which PCM Level you are and then leave the new Nav DVD in. Mine worked with my 05 one when the tech accidentally put it in by mistake.
It's a breeze!!!!

Part numbers?? How many DVD's come with this? Is this just the NAV update or a firmware AND NAV update?

OK, Thank You!

Where did you get all these for $300.00? Normally they cost quite a bit more.

So has anyone who bought these actually experienced real-time traffic advisories in their cars?

yeah. I am anxious to know whether this works, whether you need to be tuned to a specific channel, whether if i am listening to sat radio it will still monitor the FM station for alerts, whether it gets alerts off of FM at all, etc.

Feedback will be greatly appreciated.

Hey - whazzup! I am still alive out here. I am starting to frequent more and more as I fall in love all over again with my ride. I saw a while back you were banned for probably another stupid reason and rumors abounded that you had left for good. I am glad you are still here ( I know Ben - I would have known you were still here if I did a search before posting. I am sorry I did not search that issue first. I really am. ).

Good to hear from ya!
