Question Dealer's throwing in the 3M clear bra, what coverage should I ask for?

Obviously I'd like the entire hood, bumper, and front fenders. Anything else?

Also try to cover the back arches of the rear wheels. Rocks kicked up by the rear wheels could chip the back arches easily.

With best regards,

The entire hood?
Is that the norm these days?

Don't forget the headlights and foglights. Full hood and fenders highly recommended - avoids the visible line running across the hood of your car.

If you really want protection get a full Line-X treatment!.

Pros: Doesn't matter what color car you buy or what the finish is like.

Cons: Weighs more for track use. Won't take wax at all!!! You'll never get it to shine!!!

The above aside, get all that he'll give you. I've had thre P-cars and one M-5 done and I'll do it again for any other Porsche I get. It is cheap protection!

Rear bumper also and inside of front and rear wheel wells. If you aren't tracking, you could get away with 1/3rd of the hood.

I'm definitely going to take as much as I can get for $1k. The full front hood and fenders so there won't be any lines. Head and foglights. So side mirrors and behind the wheel arches should do it? Will that be under a grand?

Don't forget your door sills to prevent scratches caused by dragging heels/shoes across them.

$1,000 is not much at all for a quality job. Some of the suggestion here are good but will add $. Make sure you look at prior jobs done by the installer...GR

- full bumper
- full hood
- full front fenders
- side mirrors
- rear edge of rear wheel arches

Unfortunately, from my experience, that is not a $1K job. I've been getting quotes from installers at about $2K.

A $600-1000 install is typically:

- full bumper
- 1/3 hood (i.e. with line)
- 1/3 fenders (i.e. with line)
- side mirrors
