Interesting. I think the computer description is wrong. The 2007 Coupe order guide lists option E4 as "Carmona Red Metallic", and the online Porsche configurator also showed it as Carmona for the 2007 model year (the color was discontinued for 2008 and can't be seen anymore). Prior to that, it was called Carmon Red. There have been some discussions on these forums about the name change that you can search for. I'm not sure if anyone found out the reason for the change.

Not a big deal, obviously, but I believe your car is officially Carmona Red Metallic.

911Dave's avatar always distracts me (in a good way!). Anyway, welcome aboard. I too have learned a lot from this forum since buying my cab last June. Your color combo looks great. I have been encouraged at the compliments on your wheels, since i purchased a set of RG5Bs from someone a month or so ago and still wasn't sure if they were best for my car (currently have sport designs). Decision time will come when new tires will be needed in another few months. Enjoy your ride on some of those nice back roads in SD county, like I did yesterday (top down of course).

Oops, change that to THPorsche's avatar that distracts me, not 911Dave's (no offense 911Dave).

Great looking car, and remember no one here bites. So let the commentary fly and just make sense of what you post. If its justifiable, who can argue. Good luck with your new car and welcome again to the forum.

Welcome to another beautiful Carmon(a) on the board. Interestingly, my '05 is listed as Carmon in the literature and on the original "window sticker" however on the data sticker on the door post that lists the tire presures, it lists the colour (in very fine print at the bottom) as Carmona. See, even the factory didn't know what to call it. In any case you've managed to get one of the best colours ever in this car and all the other mundane blacks and silvers are no doubt envious. Your resale will surely be higher just because you've got a really cool looking colour combo that is rarely seen. Time will tell on that of course, but right now, who cares!
