Sounds like all those questions you asked helped you get it all figured out Congrats and please let us in on the colors. If you are looking for input, my only suggestion is to lose the no count Sport Chrono, which will clean up your dash and save you a cool grand.

Meteor gray and sand beige partial leather. Sports chronos was a last minute addition due to me wanting a livelier throttle input and the affect on the suspension. And yes I appreciate all the help I got in this forum. Car is locked in already and can't be changes. It should be here in a few months.

We're all excited for you. Glad to see you decided against AS/beige.

btw, you can usually sneak in a last-minute change so don't let that lock deter you if you should reconsider something (but do it soon!).

I'm sure this has been asked before, but is there any negotiation involved when ordering a car, or is the price the price?

Of course you can negotiate - just like buying one off the lot. If you intend to order a car, at a minimum I recommend that you settle on a variant first and get a ballpark idea of how the car will price out (this is important so the dealer will get an idea of his profit on options) and limit discount discussions to a percentage off of MSRP since the final price is not yet known. Even easier is if you fully configure a car you want to order, print it out, show it to a dealer and tell them what you are willing to pay. I would guess that 7% off of an ordered car is easy to find right now and 10% plus is definitely possible if you shop around.

DOC - Congrats. I think the Sand Beige will look much better with Meteor Grey than with the AS. Here is a pic of a Meteor Car - I just think it gives the colors a little more contrast. Like YA911 said, orders can usually be changed up to about 30 days prior to estimated build completion, so don't hesitate to ask your dealer about changes if you change your mind.

I got 5% off on the order, which isn't amazing, but isn't bad either considering the dearth of C4 allocations that were actually changeable and remaining for the year. I had to fight for the 5%, they offered me nothing off the bat, I pressed and got 3%, and then pressed again for 5%. I could have pushed again through the general manager whom I knew, but he was on vacation and I had to trade my car in.

I have to say that a certain someone on this board who sells these cars was willing to do well by me but due to the immediate convenience of me trading in my current car, I had to go a different route. Many thanks to that person though for their best efforts.

As far as a picture of the color combo, check out the North Holmstead, OH dealer inventory for a C2 coupe with same exterior/interior, albeit different wheels.

Btw, I am told by the dealer that the car is so close to flipping into production that any changes could cause it to be set back another week. So at this point I wouldn't risk it.

Looks great. Nice deviation from the standard grey/black. You forgot the short shift but that can be added later at half the cost, installed. Looking at the parking lot at North Olmsted though.....is that the official Cayman graveyard of the midwest? Impressive collection for what looks like a dealership of modest size.
