Default Thinking of going back to stock lobster forks...

The more I look at the stock wheels, the more I like their simple, elegant design. I think they suit the car very well and my LMs look too "busy."

I originally bought the LMs as I needed a second set of wheels for winter driving but no longer need them as I have a daily driver.

What do you think?

I think the Lobster Forks look better on your car.
They fit the 997 perfectly in my opinion.

Yeah, the more I look at old photos, I'm beginning to agree.

Lobsters were meant to be steamed...not placed on a classic sports car.

For simple elegant design, I like the 19" Carrera Classic wheels.

I think you're nuts. Lobsters are the ugliest Porsche wheels currently available - the V6 Cayenne 17s are a close second - and they're not that strong. BBS LMs are a completely timeless look for any car, especially a high-zoot sports car like a 911.

Given the choices presented, Lobster Folks. They look easier to clean then the LMs. Besides I have Lobster on my car!

Generally 99% of the time the stock wheel looks better than any after market IMO. These companies spend a hell of a lot of money on design to get wheels that look best on their cars. I generally accept their conclusions on these things. Go back to Lobsters or IMO the best looking 997 wheel is the Sport Design.

Hmmm... I'm also thinking of having the centers painted gunmetal similar to this:

+ infinity. Nothing looks better on a Porsche than OEM wheels.

I actually really like the OEM lobster forks but the BBS wheels are nice too. I'm usually not a fan of aftermarket wheels on high end cars but the BBS wheel is a timeless, classic design... just like the 911 itself.

Your car was one that I looked at over and over while I waited for my car to come. I like OEM with the only exception being if it is a weight issue for tracking.
