Nearing Production - My Order Finalized
Well, I use the term "finalized" loosely.
I just found out that the April 12 completion of my new C4S coupe has been bumped up to a March 20 completion, which means production of my car is slotted to start in the next two weeks'ish. So, with that, my status should change from 'embryonic' to, I guess, 'fetus'.
Over time, and with your help, I have added a number of options to my car. Yup, I realize there is no recouping that investment, but heck, this isn't really a frugal decision to start with.
I've moved away from the natural brown interior for various reasons (wearability, year round driving in Michigan, etc.) to a full leather black interior with Ruby Red. And, thanks to you guys, I've added sport exhaust, adaptive seats with leather backs, thicker leather sport steering wheel, leather console/lid, and various leather pieces.
911 Carrera 4S
L2 Ruby Red Metallic
AT Black Full Leather
635 Park Assist System
XAJ Standard Rocker Panels Painted
267 Self Dimming Mirrors
XLF Sport Exhaust System
342 Heated Seats
810 Floor Mats in Interior Color
509 Fire Extinguisher
P01 Adaptive Sports Seats
680 BOSE High End Sound Package
CDZ Gear Lever Trim in Leather
XTV Door Finishers in Leather
XZD Dome Lamp Cover in Leather
XMP Sun Visors in Leather
XMZ Rear Center Console in Leather
XSB Sport Seat Backs in Leather
CPT Storage Lid Bin with Porsche Crest
XPA Thicker Steering Wheel in Leather
XRR 19" Carrera Sport Wheel
(incl) Wheel Caps with Colored Crest
CXB Door Entry Guards in Stainless Steel, Illuminated
Thanks for all the help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Very nicely spec'd car Jeff.
Just one ify... the XAJ Standard Rocker Panels Painted... I think the Ruby Red Metallic colour would actually be accentuated by the standard colour of the Rocker Panels, black. Plus as you know they will get dirty super quick and be more prone to scratches etc which may show up more if they're painted. I may be wrong though... just a thought and my 2p's worth.
Once again a lovely spec and you'll love the adaptive seats.

It's much cheaper to put in now than later. For that price, I'm willing to gamble. If I find its placement awkward, I'll remove it.
I intend, in time, to track the car and thought it would be a nice-to-have (not necessarily 'required' for the track). Can't hurt, right?

Terry Adams just posted a picture of his TT in Ruby Red. His rockers don't appear to be painted, so it does help to visualize:

Here's a good comparison:

Congrats on your order. I would order the EXACT same options MINUS all the full leather. On black, the leather v.s. non-leather is negligible in appearance IMO and I would save a ton of $$$ as well as have far less maintenance of the interior.
