Hi,
I have the sporst seats and they still feel great after 40,000 miles. There is wear getting in and out of the car on the bolster.

I think it would be cheaper/easier to have a good upholstery shop re-cover the seat bolsters, or maybe even the whole seats if necessary. Hey, then I could get the red seats for my black car finally.

Love them and having done 6k miles have had no negative issues with them. Pricey but well worth it.

26K miles and look brand new (and I'm not exactly small framed). They get Leatherique maybe 2 or 3 times a year, that's the only leather maintenance I've done.

My car is over 3 years old and has over 31,000 miles and they still look new. The key is to keep the leather properly maintained. I clean and moisturize them 3-4 times per year. Most cracked, worn leather is a result of not being cared for.

Im looking at 2006 CPO's and wanted Adaptive's but check out the wear on this outside bolster at 24K miles. There is also wear on the inside bolster by the seat belt latch. The dealer is looking to repair it but I worry about the longevity. I plan on having the car 4-5 years.

I would say that those are the black leather. That finish is painted on, and therefore more prone to wearing off than the natural leathers.

I condition mine regularly and mine don't look at all scuffed at 31,000 miles.

Ian,
Do you have standard interior leather or one of the natural leather hides? Here is another picture from the inside bolster. Is this from the seat belt buckle?Anybody else have this problem? Im considering this CPO car and the dealer is going to re-dye the leather. I appreciate the prior comments on entry and leather care but is the following preventable as well?

Thanks
