Default Used PCCB, bad idea?

I am looking at a used 911 C2S that has 10k miles and ceramic brakes.

Anything I should be especially concerned with? Are used ceramics with this much mileage worth anything? I assume they last longer than 10k miles?

Do the rotors have to be matched? Meaning if one is damaged the other side must be replaced?

Also did you track the car at all? Is 10k miles of tracking going to have a bigger impact (one would guess but I don't know) than 30k miles of street use?

about 65% of the miles are track. Axle rotors have to be the same. I have GENII on the front.

You better hope you don't need to replace any PCCB rotors. They now cost $5200 EACH for just the part.

doctorpcar,

If this car is at a certain dealership in CT then you might want to more closely examine the passenger side, or have a professional do so for you, it's been sloppily re-painted.

"...this much mileage?"

Are you kidding?

They should easily last 200,000 miles.

If you want a highly optioned and well taken care of 2005 C2S , 17K, Gt Silver, Black interior, PCCB, etc PM me or e-mail me at ddodd100@charter.net. The car is in the Bay area. It is not mine. This owner takes excellent care of his vehicles and is a Porsche enthusiast.
