I'm not sure I'm a serious track junkie, but I've spent 14 days on the track in the last year, and am running in the yellow run group with PCA (only one non-instructor group above yellow). Also, while I'm not the fastest out there, I'm certainly not the very slowest either. The only times in those 14 days when PSM has kicked in, I was damn glad it was there. I've not tried PSM in the "relaxed" mode that comes with the SC sport setting, because like other posters here, I don't like the sport throttle setting. It's too difficult to modulate the power with it.
PASM in sport mode is an entirely different story. On a relatively smooth track (like TWS, my home track) it is great.

I generally run with the PCA (one of these days I'll get around to TDE). I'll be @ TWS FEB 9-10, & then again March 14, 15, & 16. I can't squeeze another trip to TWS between those two dates without a good divorce attorney.

For the track, there are times when PSM will intervene when not wanted or needed but in most cases, if you are a good drover, it will not hinder and even those times when it does come on uninvited are not all that critical. For me, it will always come on exiting turn 7 at Sebring which is a slow hairpin so if you try to throttle out, PSM will think you are losing it and cut the throttle. Other than that, it's not much of an issue.
