Anyone done events with these guys ?
Ive only done events with PCA/Trackmasters before.
Any opinions ?

Yes to NCRC. A group of us from Vancouver went down to Thunderhill for two days with NCRC (plus one with Lapping Unlimited). Both were great events, but the NCRC was particularly good.

If you have only done PCA DEs, worth noting that the NCRC event allows more passing in corners as you move up the run groups ... the most advance allows passing with no signal. My run group was good for passing in a corner with a signal.

I liked that a LOT, after being a bit concerned about it at the start. I was running my Boxster S at the time so being able to hold momentum and use the corners to my advantage was a big plus in getting by higher powered cars.

No experience with Trackmasters.

PS -- I see you are in a cab ... I don't know what the rules are on 911 cabs ... the Boxster has integral roll bars and it was not an issue.

i run with NCRC/TRACQUEST for many many years.
they are great.
very similar to trackmasters. liberal passing rules.
your car is fine, no roll bar needed to run DE with them.

which event are you thinking of attending. i should be at most of them

 

NCRC is great. lots of seat time. great instructors. courteous drivers. once you get to the higher groups you can run down a group. i usually do 8~10 sessions per event.

you'll see mooty and i at pca, trackmasters and NCRC events. stop by and say hi!
